It was finally time to officially open the new lab that I have been designing and that was under construction since March 2025 (see:. A new Surface Area and Porosity Laboratory )
The first users have now been running experiments in the lab and first user trainings are under way. On Sep. 12th I will have the chance to present the lab on the Materials Science Day of the Materials Science Area of Advance at Chalmers. I hope this opens a nice user base and I am looking forward to input and new ideas. I am very happy with the outcome of the lab and all companies involved did a great job putting everything together and translating my drawings into reality. Now I am looking forward to get a positive sign from the faculty regarding investment into a new state of the art instrument to make best use of the new infrastructure. The lab will only be as good as the projects being run in it, so I hope it attracts broad interest. Time will tell.
